Update - Invitation
The timings may be adjusted slightly as needed if members from outside the Valley want to ride to the WRR with us, let me know.
What I need from you is a rough indication of the numbers, if any, from you area who may be attending the BBQ. As noted below if 20 people indicate they will be attending I’m not going to buy for 40 so a rough number of attendees would be most helpful. I will buy extra but......
Hutch, our host, has informed me he has some “buddies” visiting so beds will be at a premium but there is still lots of floor space and room to camp or park an RV.
All Veterans UN/NATO Canada members are invited to the Annapolis Valley area Veterans UN/NATO Canada summer Get-Together and BBQ on Saturday of the Wharf Rat Rally (WWR) weekend.
Location: 663 Hampton Mountain Rd (Church St) Bridgetown, NS
When: 1600 hrs Saturday 31 Aug 2013
Menu: Bratwurst, hamburgers, potato salad, green salad and more...
We are hoping to have bottled water and pop included as well....
AND OF COURSE, BYOB
There is room for camping and a few beds in an on-site RV. If you want a bed in the RV or have an RV you want to bring contact me to confirm space with the owner. There is also a carpeted floor in the basement and a large garage with a concert floor if you want to crash but don’t have/want to tent. Bring your own sleeping bag/air mattress.
The Plan
The members of the Valley group will going to the WWR on Saturday 31 Aug and departing the WWR, Digby at about 1500 hrs to ride the 55kms back to the gathering at Bridgetown. The BBQ should be ready at about 1730 – 1800 hrs. There will be a bonfire later. There may be a $5 per person cover for the food but we are working on getting the cost covered, more to follow on that issue. If you are not a member of the Valley Group and would like to stop in for the BBQ and/or spend the night PLEASE LET ME KNOW FOR FOOD AND SPACE PLANNING PURPOSES.
