New applications to assist with operational stress injuries
Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), in partnership with mental health organizations, has released two mobile applications to assist individuals and their families in dealing with an operational stress injury (OSI).

Canadian Forces Appreciation Fare
Marine Atlantic Ferry Service
Marine Atlantic provides an essential transportation service between Newfoundland and Labrador and the mainland portion of Canada.
The Canadian Forces Appreciation Fare is available to qualified individuals on a year-round basis for Marine Atlantic's Port aux Basques/North Sydney and Argentia/North Sydney ferry services. The fare will be applied to new and existing reservations for individuals who qualify. Members of the Canadian Forces may book this travel as often as they wish.

Lower Sackville graveyard owner offers $500 fee instead of $1,500 for military, police relatives
Discount burials for military and police veterans are being offered at a Lower Sackville graveyard, the cemetery’s owner announced Friday.
The move was made to help financially strapped families of veterans, said Bill Mont, who owns the 9.7-hectare Pleasant Hill Cemetery outside Halifax.
